Following extensive engagement on the West Footscray Traffic Management Plan (which received more than 600 responses) we have analysed community input, coupled with specialist advice from an independent traffic consultant, and proposed a range of traffic treatments.

We have been asking your feedback on these treatments to test whether we have them right and to help us prioritise their implementation. Click here for detailed information and to provide your feedback. Due to the high level of interest we are extending this opportunity for one week until the 22nd December.

Council has prepared a locally focused policy for the Gordon and Mephan streets precinct that introduces an amendment to the Maribyrnong Planning Scheme (called amendment C143).

This is not a rezoning of land, rather it implements (formalizes) the overarching Framework Plan endorsed by Council 2015.

Take a look at the documents and make a submission if you feel you may be adversely affected.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our survey. The consultation phase on this policy has now closed and will be reported back to Council.

Council have drawn on extensive research and stakeholder consultation to have a fresh look at the management of the harms caused by the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. The new Draft Policy seeks to guide Council’s response to this important issue so we are now inviting public contributions via a short survey.
