  • Tree Planting Ballarat Street Yarraville

    Tree yarraville

Thank you for looking at our revised tree planting plans. The consultation has now closed.

    What you said:

Of the 24 visitors to the site one visitor raised concerns relating to the use of parking spaces and one submitter raised the potential for trees to interrupt the effectiveness of solar panels.

We should clarify the location of the tree planting was decided in consultation with traffic engineers. The planting bays are placed within the setback legally required to be 'no parking' for safety reasons at intersections. These spaces had not previously been marked no standing and residents may have assumed they were available as parking spaces. We can also assure residents that shape and size of this street tree has been carefully selected to be manageable in a small street setting and will receive maintenance as necessary to ensure they are not intrusive on private properties.
